Cheyanne 2020 Senior | Des Moines Iowa Senior Photographer

Cheyanne and I met at the Iowa State Fairgrounds for her senior session. It was so fun to spend time there and explore the grounds without all the craziness and thousands of other people. Cheyanne was a natural and gave me serious and sweet through out her session. I wish I could slay the serious looks like her! I just end up giggling 😆 As we walked and talked she told me that she was enjoying summer, but so ready for her senior year. Laynee and Sam Engagement Session | Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden

Sam and Laynee wanted their session at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden and I said yes to that idea right away. I love greenery and there is nothing more soothing to me than being surrounded by nature.

Laynee is a total plant lover and as we walked around she was naming plants and it was obvious she knew her stuff. If I have a plant question in the future I’m totally asking her. Sam on the other hand is a Laynee lover and it was very obvious during their session. 😉 All the sweet looks, touches, and giggles got me so excited for their big day! 😍

These two are getting married summer 2020 at the Iowa Taproom and I cannot wait! For now I will just keep looking at their photos to tide me over ;)

Randi Kate and Brad Engagement Session | Decorah Iowa Engagement Photographer

This was almost engagement session that wasn’t, but luckily we can call it the engagement session for the books instead because dang these two are CUTE 😍

Originally Randi Kate and Brad weren’t going to do an engagement session due to Brad being deployed in Hawaii and having limited time back in Iowa. But things worked out perfectly and while I was in town for a wedding and we were able to hang out and make some magic. Boy am I glad we did. These two (high school sweethearts) have the sweetest love and I’m so happy I was able to photograph it. Seriously, take a look for yourself!

For part two of Randi Kate and Brad engagement session we went downtown. These two have lots of memories together in town and it seems like the perfect place to snag some photos together.

Randi Kate brought a super cute “Mrs.” hat and we incorporated it into a few of the photos. I love when clients come with things they want to include in photos 🙂 It makes the sappy part of my heart sing a little louder.

I’m so excited to travel back to Decorah and photograph Randi Kate and Brad’s wedding day in December!

Hannah and Tate's Big Day | Decorah Iowa Wedding Photographer

It was supposed to be a rain filled day, but that didn’t stop Hannah and Tate from being all smiles all day long. These two were filled with so much joy the entire day and it SHOWED. Their wedding party and family were also so light hearted and ready to have a great time and celebrate the new Mr. and Mrs. They had me laughing through out the photos, ceremony, and reception!

After lots of prayers and purchasing 12 clear umbrellas (just in case), the weather decided to hold off and they had a beautiful outdoor ceremony at Empty Nest Winery out in Waukon, Iowa. I’m so so so grateful I was able to be a part of Hannah and Tate’s wedding day and so excited to share my personal favorites.

We had time for a first look with Hannah’s bridesmaids as well and it was so fun. I love when the ladies are just as excited to see the bride all done up as the groom is 😊

For their guest book they had an Instax camera and had everyone took a picture and signed next to it. I thought this was such a fun idea and good way to remember everyone on your wedding day!

Hannah and Tate’s wedding day at the Empty Nest Winery was a success and I’m so happy they chose me to be a part of their day! I’ll be returning to Decorah for Randi Kate and Brad’s wedding in December and cannot wait! It is filled with so many beautiful nature spots that I am excited to explore again.

Mayson Rooftop Senior Session | Des Moines Senior Photographer

For the second half of Mayson’s session we went up to one of my favorite downtown spot to catch the sunset in all it’s glory. Her red hair and green jumpsuit were perfect together and giving me total Ariel feels in the best way possible. Mayson was serving me looks the entire time it made my job easy.
