Zane and Amanda told me they were simple, easy going and wanted an engagement session that reflected that. We spent the sunset together walking, talking and exploring a local park. Nature sessions are my sweet spot, so I’m always excited when a couple wants nature focus for their session.
Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden Engagement - Anna & Coleman
Anna and Coleman reached about wanting an engagement session before they eloped in Colorado. Anna knew right away she wanted their session at the Des Moines Botanical Garden, which I’m always excited to photograph at! These two had such a sweet, gentle energy and I loved photographing it for them. I love the botanical garden because every time I go I seem to discover a new corner to fall in love with.
Iowa Country Winter Engagement Session - Taylor & Collin
With Taylor and Collin’s wedding day less than a week away, it’s the perfect time to share more of their wintery engagement session. We started their session with their dog Maverick. I love when couples want to get a few photos with their pets and always recommend doing these photos during the first 15 minutes or last 15 minutes. After spending some exploring in the woods, we went to an open spot in the country that had the most beautiful views of the valley 😍I’m so excited to photograph these two again at The Hidden Acre in Waverly Iowa this Saturday with all their family and friends!

Alayna and Michael Downtown Des Moines Engagement Session
Alayna and Michael wanted to spend time at their first date spots during their engagement session which I LOVED. It’s one of my favorite things when couples choose to be photographed in sentimental spots that are important to them. We started out at a rooftop to get some classic and fun Des Moines city photos, then moved to get coffee at Horizon Line (one of my local favorites), which happens to be the starting spot of their first date.
